Talking to numerous online course creators over the years, who needed a course website, I realized that many of them had no sound reasoning to pick the course software they wanted to use.
A couple of years ago, I was talking to a potential client who taught a course on female intimacy.
She wanted to move away from Kajabi and was looking at another LMS. She was also looking for advice on how to market her course.
I made her a proposal, but she did not take me up on it. Sometime later, we had another call, and she told me that she had switched to Mighty Networks because this would offer her the opportunity to charge for communities. Which was a valid reason.
A problem with teaching a topic like female intimacy, however, is that Google and Facebook won’t let you advertise a topic like that. A good alternative for advertising would be affiliate marketing. Mighty Networks does not offer that functionality.
There are ways around it, but it involves marketing tech integration and a monthly subscription to another software which costs about $99 a month.
Staying with Kajabi and only using the Mighty Networks community option, would have been cheaper and less cumbersome.
